How does everyone attach their toggles?

Ok, newbie-ish question here... Looking for some input from some of salty dogs out there. I want to make some toggles for and I was curious how everyone utilizes them. I know a lot of people use a marlin spike hitch on the webbing and then attach to that, but I've recently made some dynaglide dogbones to replace the heavy ropes in the end channel of my hammock, and dynaglide UCRs.

What I was planning was lark head the toggle to the eye on the UCR and slip the toggle through the eye on the aforementioned dogbone, obviously placing said eye on the cord and not the toggle.

Not sure if that was descriptive enough for everyone to envision, but has anyone had experience doing it that way? Success? Failure? Am I insane for thinking such a thing?

    Thanks everyone!!

Re: How does everyone attach their toggles?

That should be ok if you have a solid or very strong toggle, the dynaglide will put a higher compression force on the toggle than 1" webbing because it will be spread over a smaller area, therefore if it is not solid or VERY strong you risk breaking the toggle.

Maybe consider oak dowels, antler, solid alum rod etc. as the toggle.

You could always get some whoopie hooks and bypass the need for a toggle?

What advantage do you see this giving you over a standard ucr setup? Is it just the removable suspension or am I missing something?

Edit: bad phone... smartphone auto correct

Yeah, I took into account about the concentrated forces put onto the toggle, thanks a ton for your input. I'll eventually get a set of whoopie hooks and put those bad boys on there, I also like using toggles. I'm trying to shave even more weight off by ditching the carabiners. So I basically have your standard UCR with a locked Brummell on the end that attaches to the hammock, I'm just using biners to attach the two. My UCRs are attached to my 1" wide polyester tree straps via larks head. Just got my Dutch clips not long ago (love those things!) Next on the experiment agenda is mule tape.
