    Decided to hang inside

Well, I got tired of not being able to camp all the time and decided to hang my hammock in my spare room (aka the ManCave).

The corner to corner is exactly 13.5', I placed the brackets at 71" (should have gone a little lower but it hangs about 24" off the ground, I usually like about 20" due to my long legs for sitting. I used Cargo Boss Zinc Surface Mount D-Rings, supposed to be 1200lbs load. The 4-pack was $4.97 at Home depot. Also I used Spax 2-1/2 inch Zinc Mult-Material screws.

I used the hammock hang calculator, which helped me get an idea of where to put the brackets. (Oh and the app is a life saver for in the field)

Oh, I also am using black diamond biners with whoopie slings, which a big thanks go to Paul Winslow for trading me some grey/black ones to match for my orange ones. And another thanks to JuneBugDawn for suggesting I contact Paul, you were right he likes Orange. Anyway enjoy the pictures and let me know what you guys think.

You're most welcome, I searched around and found another thread with the bracket info on HF, they work great and at $4.97 you can't beat it. The whole setup cost me $8.

Glad we could trade whoopie slings, and that you like your new ones as well! Also, the indoor setup looks great!...gotta do something like that for me since I have no trees in my yard, and since my TurtleDog Stand doesn't get used nearly enough.

$8 brother, and a trip to home depot. The biners I already had on hand, but yeah it's pretty cool, probably gonna sleep in the hammy tonight, might as well

Just set mine up in my "War Room" today as well. I used eyelet anchors screwed into the studs (I hope). It's holding nicely.

    Re: Decided to hang inside

Did the screws come as part of the kit? Who manufacturers the kit? Great looking setup.
