Hi guys
With the list below there are a few things missing at the moment. Anything that you think I may need give me a heads up..
This will be my livelihood for as long as the kit lasts without needing to be replaced.
Sleep system - weight 3.3 kg
Dd travel hammock
Sleeve for dd hammock
4 x karabiners
Webbing
3m x3m tarp (may go slightly bigger)
2x windscreen heat reflectors
Vango ultralite 350 sleeping bag
Travel pillow
Cook system - weight 1.5/1.6kg
Looking at a solid fuel hexagon stove at the moment.
One person cookset (2 pans 1 frying)
Spice kit (homemade)
Knife fork spoon
Sea to summit x bowl
x mug
x plate
Sawyer squeeze water purifier
Clothing - weight 2.7/3.0 approx
1 long sleeve (craghopper nosilife)
1 merino wool short sleeve and merino long johns
1 t shirt synthetic high wicking sort
2 convertible quick dry trousers (craghoppers kiwi)
2x under wear (exofficio or under armour)
3 socks (smart-wool or merino wool)
1 flip-flops /thongs whichever you call them (looking at a set of crocs, as much as I hate them)
Shoes (Merrel Phoenix gore tex multi-sport)
Cheap sunglasses (decent uv protection though)
Bandana/s
Water proof jacket and trouser covers
The trouser and long sleeve have some sort of insect repellent inbuilt but I will carry a little more.
The only electronic I will be taking is a fairly new touch screen iPod. I was going to take an ipad but its to big and with a protective case (griffin survivor) weighs about a kilo.
So at the moment including backpack weight Is looking at around 10kg. I think I would be happy to go up to 12kg but that will be likely with consumables included.
I am intending to spend as much of life possible hiking, and travelling with the bag I carry, so absolutely any advice will be fantastic.
Please comment on anything else you thing I will need. I am sticking to warmer climates in the correct seasons.
