Not sure of the current prices, but I got some of the same hammock blanks as crinkle taffeta tablecloths from balsacircle.com a while back. Had good prices at the time. They sell the same thing on amazon but the shipping looked too steep so I found they have their own site. This was before I found out about tablecloth factory.
As for weight, I'd check for the fabrics chart on the Dream Hammocks website. It will give you a good idea of his ratings for different fabrics in single and double layers. The ones I made were double layer and I'm 415#. They have had no issues so far and I can put a pad between the layers if needed for insulation.

Tablecloth factory is the way to go I bought my last one for 17 bucks + shipping, I love it, love it, love it I sleep in it all the time at home or at least until my wife starts giving me subtle hints about me sleeping in the basement in the hammock, then I have to head back to civilization
