Hey y'all, so I just made a DIY Tarp using a design on the forums, and it didn't turn out like I wanted, so I'm just going to buy one. Strict budget. Only about $75 max. Any suggestions, refferals, reviews would be great. Thanks.

If you can scrape together about 15 more $$ you could get a Tadpole from Wilderness Logics...great tarp. I haven't used one myself but heat the Kelty Noah line isn't too bad...although the waterproofing has apparently gone downhill. Could be something a can of scotch gaurd and tube of seam seal could correct.
I have a Chinook Guide tarp, this model is different: http://www.sonomaoutfitters.com/ista...Fct7QgodQjYAqg
my guide tarp isn't too bad...huge and heavy, the only complaint about it is I had to reinforce the tie-outs by adding patches and web pull outs. The model I have came with eyelets which would have ripped right out with a decent wind.
Warbonnet Edge or Wilderness Logics Tadpole are good tarps if you want silnylon. IIRC they are both $85 or so.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
Just saw this, right at $75...not sure about shipping. This one was on my list of tarps to get until I read reviews about the Tadpole.

I was just looking at the Kelty Noahs and you're right. So you think I should go with the Tadpole. I can get the money, just have to wait longer.
Have the WL Big Daddy worked great in the storm we had last night. About 15 dollars more than the Tadpole.
Wilderness Logics Tadpole is a great tarp for the money. Great quality and fast shipping. I just came back from a 5 day trip on the Northville Placid Trail with one night of continuous wind and rain... stayed bone dry. Hope this helps...Bones
what is wrong with the one you made?
YMMV

Free advice worth what you paid for it. ;-)
I just picked up a Hennessy 70D Hex (12'X10') from REI for $75 . I've seen them as low as $55 elsewhere but REI has a no questions return policy and free shipping. At 23 oz. it's not a ultra-light by any means but I decided thats all I wanted to spend until I get some hang time under my belt and figure out what I really need. After that it'll be my motorcycle camping tarp. A lot of people seem to really like them too.
