Ive tried the stuffing but folding and rolling takes up WAAY less space in your pack! ive got a really big tarp ant the difference was really noticable.

In days of old it was possible to create seams when folding due to the heavier fabrics. This was compounded by waterproofing being urethane coatings which could wear off much easier.
Now, with sil, it is almost impossible to fold it to make a crease, let alone crease it in the same place. (It wasn't easy in the old days either) Since waterproffing doesn't involve painting on urethane, the wearing off isn't an issue either. Interesting to note that when one stuffs silnylon, it does make thousands of tiny creases, there are less when an attempt at folding followed by rolling process is used. That is my method for both my spinnaker and sil fabrics.
