First off, it's a pleasure to be a "hanging" with you all!I'm going on a backpacking trip with my longtime buddies in the Sierras in less than 2 months. They mocked me when I told them I was going to be sleeping in a hammock. Their laughter will quickly turn to dumbfounded awe when I whip out my Ridge Runner and Cloudburst! I'm learning more every day since I've joined the forum. I hope to learn more and look forward to proselytizing the virtues of hammocking!

Where in the Sierras are you going?
Going to Ansel Adams Wilderness...ending up in Lake Ediza. And after talking to some friends who have been up there, I'm hearing there aren't very many trees. That'd be a bummer if I can't use my hammock!
