    surgical tubing

was wondering if anyone out there. Has ever tried using surgical tubing like material. Found at stores like tractor supply or other farming stores. this is thicker diameter and stronger. not the stuff used for sling shots and what not.

Was curious if this would work to run whoopies thru it and use it for tree straps instead of webbing straps

The tubing would not distribute the load like the webbing. The sugical tubing does work well as line tensioners.

That's what I was going to say. I guess you're too dammfast.

I completely agree. The object is to spread out the load onto a larger surface area. Only a strap will do that. Any kind of tubing simply transmits the concentrated pull of the line right through the tube wall to the tree

You could make whoopie slings out of it, then attach your netless hammock, and Presto-ChangeO - a giant siege style slingshot!
