I've been watching from afar and decided to join the fray. I've always loved camping and backpacking but discovered hammock camping in a roundabout way.
I was on YouTube looking for reviews on a lightweight pack and found Sugemery's videos. There has never been a better ambassador for anything I can think of.
I figured if sleeping in a hammock gave me half the energy it gave this guy them ill be doing alright.
So, thanks to Suge and everyone on This forum for punching me in the face with the Hammock Addiction.

Welcome Big to the insanity and passion of many here. Ask away any questions that you may have and you will find out there are a lot of people here willing to help. I third what McRat said.

What sets a canoeing expedition apart is that it purifies you more rapidly and inescapably than any other travel. Travel a thousand miles by train and you are a brute; pedal five hundred on a bicycle and you remain basically a bourgeois; paddle a hundred in a canoe and you are already a child of nature.

Welcome, Big! That's how I found hammocking, searching for ultra-light alternatives.
