I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
Putting together hammock gear is like watching a dog chase its tail. Just when you think it's done the circle begins again with a new project or idea on how to do something different. Welcome to the club. Oh have you looked at alcohol stoves yet? Hehehehehehe.
Ah yes...I've gone through my stove phase! I finally settled on the solo stove wood burner.
So can anyone tell me if whoopie slings actually save you more than just 2-3oz. Over the adjustable webbing? I'm going back and forth. I just don't like the idea of 2 separate parts to keep track of. Also. I'm driving myself nuts trying to figure out if ill set up a CRL vs the two tie out method. Once I get a system set up I tend to leave it that way. Any thoughts?
I live whoopies for their ease if use. Especially with a WBBB or other side opening hammocks. You see I ALWAYS set it up backwards. And with whoopies, I can just unhook the whoopies and circle instead of undoing the straps. Lol

Before you know it, you'll be lying in an ally begging for spare change and spending it all on hammock gear. I only hope the withdrawal symptoms are not severe.
I added whoopies to my ENO DN to get rid of the black rope and the big caribiners. I forgot how much weight it took off. I also added Dutch Clips. Everything (including straps) fits into the ENO DN sack.
