Adjustable ridgeline on DIY double sheet bend

I just finished making 2 double layer tablecloth hammocks. I used double sheet bends with Amsteel loops. I'm still back and forth on Atlas straps, whoopee slings, or ring buckle for suspension. I know I want to have an adjustable ridgeline. Still new to hanging and with the way I procrastinate I'll be much happier being able to make adjustments as needed rather than picking a length.

It may seem like a newbie question, but what I really need are some ideas on how to attach the ridgeline. I'm going to make it out of some 1/8" Amsteel I have. Thinking I'll do a fixed loop on one end and make the other adjustable. Pretty much like a whoopie sling.

Should the ARL attach to the fold in the sheet bend or to the Amsteel loop? I could also larks head another Amsteel loop just under the sheet bend on both end, then clip a biner attached to each end of the ARL to the loops.

What am I missing? Just concerned about the different forces on the sheet bend and also being able to make adjustments if the ARL runs through the bend or around the sheet bend loop.

I'm using;
Atlas straps and biners on one - love it
Straps and cinch buckles - love it, very easy to adjust, don't forget your stopper knots
(Get some dutch clips to make it even easier)
Whoopies - ok, but you need a strap anyway for the hugger so why not to rings or buckles
Straps and rings - great, easiest to adjust (cinch buckles can get tight and fiddly to loosen after loading), heavier (4 rings)

I larksheaded my ARL to the amsteel/cord above the whipping knot. (Though through would be cool)
Unload the hammock, adjust ARL, set and go.

Am setting up a bunch of hammocks for family.
Big guy 350-400 gets straps and cinch buckles with 1/8 chain links
Big guy 300 gets straps and rings with 7/64 chain links
Gal 120 gets straps and cinch buckles with 7/64 chain links
Guy 140 gets 7/64 whoopies, huggers, biners
(3) Kids under 100 get straps, biners and 7/64 chain links

All of the above are tablecloth whipped (same video method) and are 60x120 or 90x132 ( 1 single, 1 double)

Example of fixed end loop over knot and larksheaded loop over knot.
These lines will be replaced by chain links when they arrive from AHE.

Oops, couldn't post 2 pics, here is the fixed loop.
Just remember, the ridgeline should have some "give", not guitar string tight.
If it is tight, move straps higher on tree and connect hammock a little lower on strap.

Others will chime in, my experience has been that this method has worked for the last year and every day for the last 5 weeks for roughly 8hrs/night. ymmv hyoh

Thanks Ratdog. I think I was just making it more complicated than it needed to be. Putting the tails of the continuous loops through the ends of the ARL makes soooo much more sense. Sometimes you just need to step back. I just don't want my ridgeline to be too high.

Still trying to decide what "my" own hang looks like. Not sure if I'm going with whoopies or rings. Just made toggles from a cheap arrow and have rings on the way from DIY Gear Supply. I feel like I need to try everything to see what I want to do.
