You can larkshead a whoopie sling onto those buckles when you want to use the sling instead of a strap.

My reservation about larksheading a whoopie sling onto the buckle would be that the fixed eye of the whoopie sling will migrate to one of the corners and pull the buckle diagonal unless you use a prusik (same as what already on there) instead of a larkshead which will take up more space on tha buckle.

It's not a big deal. It will hold but I think an easier way to have multiple suspensions would be to have a short continuous loop on the hammock and have a short continuous loop on the buckle. Attach the two with a Dutch biner. If you want to switch to whoopie slings then detach the buckle and atttach the fixed eye of the whoopie to the continuous loop that on the hammock via the Dutch biner.

that would be a very handy way to go back and forth. you could put a dutch whoopie hook on each of those for a good secure connection as well.

Youi're rightn that would be even more handy. I've larksheaded a whoopie on my WB buckles as you showed and the whoopie did not move as well. Because the one in the OP is rectangular I find it tilts a bit and may cause the whoopie sling's to shift. I don't know for sure. I'm going to have to try it.
