The one advantage i see with the poles to hold it up is if i have to go to ground. I will be useing mine alot in the Rockey Mts.. In the late fall. The weather in the Rockeys is very unpredictable in late Oct. and Nov.. It can be very fast to get to a ground set up. Unless im missing something.

Bad weather and going to ground have nothing to do with each other IMO.

What weather would make you go to ground? Rain, nope. Wind, nope...but I'll give you a maybe. Cold, nope. Tornadoes, OK I'm diggin a hole for one of those. Luckily there are no tornadoes that I know of in the mountains. Only reasons I can think of for considering going to ground involve equipment failure or lack of any hanging possibilities. I find my hammocks much more comfortable than the ground during inclement weather.

BTW, the weather during the fall isn't unpredictable; it's just going to be the opposite of whatever you plan for.
    Trust nobody!

    Sell NA Clark Jungle Hammock

I am sorry, I can't post this in a new thread. (Post count too low)

I am selling a 2008 NA Clark Jungle Hammock. It has an XL Rain Fly (Normal green color). I also have the tree straps. That is a $325 dollar value.

It is brand new. Used it in my front yard three times. Never really broken in. Never on the trail. Not dirty, no tears, no stains, etc.

I am selling it at $250 USD. This includes shipping. Will ship to CONUS.

My email is "[email protected]" if you are interested. I am willing to trade for other gear if your funds are low.

Thank you. Again sorry but this is my first post.
