On my last backpacking trip with my daughter, she complained about not having easy access to her water bottle. Ridgeline organizers don't seem to be meant for water bottles.
As for myself, I had an extra down jacket that I wanted to keep handy, but found on the ground in the morning.
This weekend I finally had a little time after sewing up orders and played around. I came up with the simplest thing yet and tried it out on a line outside my cabin.
At this point it is usable for adjustable ridgelines but I am working on having it work for fixed lines as well.
I made a few sizes and, for those concerned with weight, the smallest one ( which will hold a small water bottle plus a couple of other things) , weighs 4 grams. The largest one I made so far held a Montbell Alpine light jacket and some Freathered Friends booties and weighs 7 grams.
The little " Ridgeline Stuffers" have a cord and toggle on each end and are made with Quest Outfitters lighter NoSeeUm mesh.
I know this isn't anything revolutionary, but at least in my little world it will make keeping water and some other items that are hard to compress in an organizer - very accessible.
They can be used as lightweight stuff sacks.

I am thinking about making these available for 12 to 15 dollars, depending on size, including shipping.
Any ideas how they could work for fixed ridgelines? Velcro is not kind to NoSeeUm..
