I performed the mod on my Superfly in preparation for my WB Ridgerunner. Thanks to all who posted ideas and part numbers/specifics. Ordered everything from Quest Outfitters a few days ago, delivered this afternoon, and took all of 5 minutes to make the poles.

Today I was finally able to splice the four dogbones I need to attach my poles to my superfly. Each one is roughly 8" long (each one is slightly different), and has a very small eye in one end and a 1" eye in the other. Unfortunately, it is extremely windy outside right now and I am prevented from hanging it up. Maybe later tonight when it calms down I can get her up and take some pictures.

I like Wawhiker's idea, picked up the Halfdome replacement poles with my REI Dividend= FREE. Now have the no pole porch mode with plenty of options
The Older I get, the Faster I use to be.
I have the REI replacement poles and added the tabs with grommets to the 4 corners and the poles fit securely in place.

Well, I am finally finished building and installing my no sew pole mod to my Warbonnet Superfly, and I must say, I love it. No more will I trip over or clothesline myself on the pullout lines. Boy is it spacious now, the wife took a couple pictures of me, one before the pole mod attached and one after the mod attached, and the difference is very noticeable. I can not wait until I can get out on an overnighter in the sanctuary and really test it out.
The only thing I am a little worried about is that there is no clearance between the poles and the ridgeline. This could lead to unnecessary wear, so I may just run another ridgeline above the tarp leaving it a little slack to allow the poles to do their job.
Although it took almost two months for me to complete this mod, it was well worth it. More room equals more comfort, especially when poor weather is in the forecast. Thank you to cpverne, wawhiker and all the rest who have contributed to this mod.
Superfly without pole mod. A mammoth tarp.
Superfly after the pole mod. It just opens right up like I had the pull outs tied off.
Amsteel dogbones. I made four on a whim, and they work perfectly.
Here is the problematic issue that may rise, as you see the pole is resting on the ridgeline, which I fear may cause wear. Does anyone know if this will affect the tarp at all?
Me in the superfly before the poles added. I tried to put my hands up to the sides so they would touch the tarp.
And another of me in the tarp, again holding my hands up in the same position, and they do not touch the tarp ( its kind of hard to see, but there is a heck of a lot more room inside now).

I really liked this idea, but wanted to try something a little different so I ordered a couple extra poles from quest. Be gentle, it's still in prototype mode.

Very interesting idea. I've always wanted to be able to get the poles a little higher off the tarp. With the extra section and longer length, this looks to do just that. It also appears to tight the fabric between the pull outs which have a tendency on mine to flop a little bit if not tightened down. How man poles did you use?
