    Do everything but the tree straps and tarp.

    I do the soak method, spray the shoes. Tarp is silnylon, so not sure soaking it would matter, and I really don't want to kill the bugs that are just strolling up the tree... once they come towards the whoopies that's a different story...

    I would doubt it would adhere to the sil anyway. I did my Hennessy an bugnet and all my clothing.Now I think I will do my pack.

    The permethrin is in a solvent base soaking your tarp in it may ruin it! As for how long, I've read some folks do it over night etc... I don't I do different time depending on material no real set time, but until things are saturated and then a little extra and then hang to dry, in the shed.

    If I remember correctly it is very deadly to cats so I keep my in the shed to dry, so some pieces take a while, but I do like my cats...
