    M50 te-wa breezes

I just got an email from Mike at te-wa underquilts that my custom M50 Breeze underquilts (one for me and one for my fiancé) have shipped out!! I'm excited to get them and try them out, they're going to be our first underquilts. Will go and test them as soon as they get in!

I'm jealous. I have one of his 20* quilts on order and should hopefully get a shipping notice within the next couple of weeks. But man, has this last month been killing me.

I followed the DIY instructions on here for a KAQ and used m50 with climashield. It makes a great UQ. The fabric feels like a garbage bag when you first pick it up, but it's pretty **** strong. My biggest challenge is getting it to let the air out when i stuff it in its compression sack. It looks pretty funny fresh out of the bag, too. You would never think that shriveled prune looking thing would fluff up and keep you warm...

Just got the breezes in the mail the other day!!! They're sitting on the couch right now so they can loft. Put one on my hammock last night on our balcony and immediately my backside was toasting right up! Can't wait to bring these on the trail! I'll have a trip report soon! Until then, here are some pictures!

Those are snazzy looking. I'm still waiting on me 20* and looking at those pictures is not making the wait any better. I'm hoping I get it before my yosemite trip in three weeks. Anyway, congrats on the great looking quilts.

Thanks Jrprince, they're fantastic and I'm hoping to get it to use them soon. Best of luck to you on the wait, it took a little over a month to get mine, Mike has been moving so he's been pretty busy. I hope you get them too, and I hope to see some pictures of your trip!! I long to go to Yosemite... Admittedly I'm a touch jealous.

    ... Ok, really jealous
