    Refreshing bunch here

    Hi Folks-

I am new to the BB Club, having gotten my name on the waiting list for one several days ago.

I am a past user of HH and Clark Hammocks, and am excited to use the BB and its design improvements.

I just wanted to post here primarily to say how refreshing it is that all you posters are positive, are upbeat, and that you work together to find solutions. What a nice change over some of the other backpacking forums! I applaud your attitudes and your choice to avoid character assassinations that occur DAILY in other popular forums.

I find that I spend my time watching this forum more and more and those other ones less and less.

I have sent several PM's to Cannibal and he has been extremely willing to answer my questions immediately.

Brandon also has been equally accommodating, and willing to go beyond the call of duty to answer questions.

You are all a bunch of great people to "hang" around!

    Thank you very much!

Interesting that you bring this up, Vigilguy... I'm relatively new to HF and was just thinking the same thing this morning! I have a theory about hangers... could it be that a hammock is so comfortable that anyone who uses one can't help being laid back, tolerant, and, in the immortal words of Bill and Ted, "excellent to one another"? Peace out, Brothers and Sisters... y'all are AWESOME!!
There's no such thing as bad weather... just bad gear.

    Hi Charlie,

    Me too.

    I agree.

After checking your web site I recall looking at it some months back after seeing you and your website recommended as a good supplier for what ever it was I was looking into at the time.

And Wow - from your blog I see you're another pack goat guy - I had never heard of such a thing until I saw it linked to just a few days ago. Either on some thread on this forum or perhaps google search where I saw a link to Steve , N0TU amateur radio call sign, and his pack goats - Rooster and Peanut. Steve has several youtube videos ( goathiker ) and a blog of his adventures with R&P which he uses to carry his camping and ham radio gear up into the rockies for many of the various types of mobile QRP ( low power ) amateur radio ops ,Spartan Sprints, Zombie Walkers, Polar Bear Madness etc. And on at least one of his videos I have seen he was using what looked like a Clark hammock.

Being an electronics guy by profession and sometimes amateur radio op myself, WO8W, when I see HF , my first thought is High Frequency , not Hammock Forums. Being new to hammocks and not yet in possession of a true camping hammock I think it will be a while before the priority of the two definitions reverses.

Another 2 weeks or so till I ought to receive my BB , Speer Hammocks and tarps.
