I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.

    GranyPat right back at you.
I've been to many of these get-togethers. Way back in the day I was curious about the kit, how to lighten up, stay warmer, etc. Now it's about seeing and meeting as many of the HF enclaves as I can. It's almost always about reunions to. Last time I shook Hanging Buttito or Running Feather's hands was on Goat Island. So many others I see post I've never met and that's gonna change this weekend.
I don't have a real family-Poof and Neutron are the closest I've got (now there is Wolka, my cat of 18+ years)-and I do consider all of these bridges family but the freekstrange thing is I never could stand my real family and nary a person on HF would I not stop and help change a flat tire.
That said GranyPat-do you want to live forever? If a trees down on me at the John Rock Hang let it be known that I died happy
Fingers crossed you change your mind, understand if you don't.

Re: WNC - The 4th Annual John Rock Hang 7/12-7/14

As of the latest update from fleet I am being sent to IN instead of home thanks to our elite team of trip planners and wont be back in town until saturday afternoon. That said unless something miraculous happens to change things I probably wont be able to make this. One more slap in the face to compound an already ruined month.

You'll be missed! Hang in there spamburglar. We'll see you (and hopefully Karl too) at the next one!

It's not the dying I worry about, it's the maiming and the pain.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

But you could lay in your hammock and recover from the maiming.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
