Awesome sight fellows .........when I say big man I'm not overweight just big bone man so comfort is a concern for me getting into hammocking ....Thankyou for your help Preacher
I am about your size at 6ft and 267 pounds. I have been in several different bridge hammocks now and have found that they are to narrow for my shoulders. To me the bridge style hammocks feel like a tee shirt that is a size to small in the shoulders. Like wearing a large shirt when you wear a XL.If you waer a XX tee shirt like I do so my shoulders can be comfortable then you probably wouldn't like the bridge.
The hammock I prefer hammock is the BIAS Camper hammock, which is rated to 300lbs. That is the hammock that I would recommend.
All that being said I would look at the trip planning forum here and find a local hang to go to, to see and try out different hammocks to see what you like and to possibly try them out.

Aint that the truth. I have a whole squadron of hammocks right now that I haven't set up yet.

At 6-foot even there are a lot to choose from - many suggestions already given.

The XLC 1.7 DL would be at the top of my short list (the tie outs help it feel bigger, more comfortable inside). You get options like a bug net for Spring turkey and early deer seasons then switch to the nylon cover for a little extra warmth during late deer season. If it's not cold enough for that but the bugs are gone then just leave the top at home. Weight is "reasonable" without going "ultralight" (which sometimes translates to "fragile").

If you hunt several days in a row, consider carrying 2 tarps. One for minimal but still good coverage over your hammock. The other for "living under" (cooking, hanging out before bed, etc.). This gives you weather protection where you make all the smells that the local wildlife like but it's away from your sleeping area (a few hundred feet in bear country). You can offset the additional weight of 2 tarps by going to Cuben tarps but if that breaks the bank it's worth the extra weight in my opinion - better than being trapped on a postage stamp when the weather turns bad.
