Art Loeb Hike rescheduled-looking for weather advice

OK, so we rescheduled our Art Loeb hike due to the huge amounts of rain, so now we are looking at November time from. Any advice on what temps are typically seen up on the trail in mid November? Asheville is showing historical lows in the mid 30's, so I am expecting maybe 20's up in the higher elevations maybe? Anyone know for sure? I am trying to decide about insulation. My current setup has had me warm down to around 30, so I am wondering if I need to make any changes.

When you are going through the higher elevations, you are right on with a 10* to 15* difference between Asheville and the mountains.

Wind chills can make it a little greater than 10-15 degrees too. Site selection will become more important in November.

My concern is with my quilts. I typically camp in Alabama, and 28*-30* is the coldest I see around here. I am considering a quilt upgrade, at least TQ. I have a full length KAQ New River that I have had down to 30*, and have some insultex I could take to supplement. My TQ is an older Stoic down 30* bag that struggles to keep me warm at 30*. It is 650 fill and does not loft that great. Thinking of making me a synthetic TQ from 6oz climashield, to match my UQ. Not as light and compressible as down, but much cheaper.

If these options are not even close to what I am gonna need, I wanted plenty of time to make adjustments before the trip/

Maybe an under quilt protector would help... I don't have one so I can't say for sure

Considering that also. I have a poncho that might double for that.

    New to Nashville

What is the location of the hang. New to the area and would possibly be interested if its not to far away.

We have not nailed down a date, but location would be Pisgah National Forest, the Art Loeb Trail. Not really a "hang" so to speak though. I am the only hammocker in tne group.

Bock, bock, bock, be gock! I was just on the Art Loeb trail this weekend, walking through the downpour. It wasn't that bad! I camped at Shining rock, using a piece of CCF pad and a sleeping bag. Admittedly, the UQ I packed was near the bottom of my backpack and got wet, so I didn't use it. I was a bit chilly, but OK. Why wait?
