WBBB, WBBB XLC, and Traveler an amateur view

After a few more naps in my BB I am really starting to "love" it.
It feels like it was custom made for me.
I'm going to wait until the XLC 1.1 comes in and give it a good try but I can already tell that I will have a bias toward the regular BB.

Having lied more in my WBB lefty I have decided there is a large difference in a left and right lay.
Its in the calf pressure.. for some reason I am much more comfortable with pressure on my left leg than my right leg; I don't know why may be an old injury.

This brings me to a question for the more experienced.

Can some one define calf ridge very specifically?

I can get any hint of a "ridge" out of my hammock but I always have more pressure on the leg that is laying toward the foot end then the one laying toward the head end.
I feel like this is normal and as long as the pressure is evenly spread its ok but I wanted to confirm with the experts.

Due to a bad cough and lots of waking up I have been moved into our guest room..

I thought since I was gonna be stuck there for a while that I should go ahead put up some wall anchors.
They are not the ideal height or distance 13.5' apart, 66" on the head side and 72" on the foot side. I have, However; been able to dial out the calf ridge for the most part (using the WBB) I find it very comfortable and am definitely learning that I prefer the lefty to standard set up. I just don't have as much irritation with any pressure on my left calf like I do on my right..I would say my right is very sensitive to pressure but my left seems like it's not at all sensative..

I do still have the question; what exactly is a calf ridge..
I experience three things

1) a nice even pressure along my lower leg ( not to bad in my opinion)
2) a sharp ridge in the calf ( what I would define as a calf ridge)
3) a nice wide (about 3-4") that runs under my knee (hammock bliss

I would like to know What would the pros say about these three scenarios; do I have more tuning to get the perfect hang?

Still waiting on the XLC but I am getting worried that due to the size I will not be able to tune the ridge under the knee causing my leg to hyper extend. I know this could me easily fixed by sliding something under there but just kinda want it right.

By the way not to plug another vendor here but I just go the HG 40deg top and bottom quilt; it makes hammocking instantly more comfortable. Dare I say that the right quilts are a more important purchase than the right hammock..

The Jury is still out and I will let the experts comment on this..

Talked to Brandon again today great guy didn't know me but definitely knew my hammock "oh your the lefty guy"..
Should be coming soon.. !!!

Not sure when I will go back to sleeping in a bed...
The wife isn't going to be too happy..

And I can say (for me) is was an issue with the fabric..
The XLC is more comfortable but I think you wouldn't miss is if you had never selpt in one..
So this is where it gets tricky I'm 230 and the 1.1 DL has the perfect amount of stretch. So weight is a huge factor.

6-2 275ish here. Had the 1.1 fabric on my BB dbl but being too near the weight limit made me nervous so it went to my son. Back in the 1.7 BB dbl and while it is comfortable enough the 1.1 felt much better to me as well. If the BB XLC becomes a reality I might just return to a 1.1 dbl.
