    Talking Hello from Scotland :)

Hey everyone first I'd like to say thanks to craige for getting me onto this website. I am brand new to using a hammock but am a quick learner so I will be lurking in the forums over the next week or so before I take the plunge and either buy one or DIY. I love the outdoors and had said to Craig that we should get out camping over summer and long story short I am here now. After lying in a hammock I never want to use the tent again the level of comfort is unbeleveable to a new guy like me .

    Quick info on me:
I love outdoors in any weather.
    Snowboard
Paraglide ( tried to work out how to attach camping gear to harness but I think it will alter the way the wing glides I am scared to try tbh anyone who has done it please jump in and say)
Pipe band drummer ( yup have the kilt and everything just got blonde hair so lack the ginger ness )

Any advice will be greatly appriciated. I am Hoping to get out for a couple of trips this summer at least. Craig will be posting our trip past Roslin chapel soon.

Hello and Welcome from Smyrna, TN

Never went paragliding but I have fallin' out of aircraft while in flight ( both 35ft round chute and a rectangle chute ), we always wear our bags on the front using a single point release harness and when we get close to landing you set you bag free on a 15ft hook pile tape lowering line.

    Once again Welcome

Greetings from Edinburgh, you will find that with our right to roam in Scotland we are spoilt for choice for places to hang. I would say that DD hammocks (in Edinburgh but online only) are a good place to start looking for kit.

Welcome from Indiana! Tha mi toilichte ur coinneachadh!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

    Hey buddy, welcome aboard.

Like I told you, this is the friendliest place around and definitely the best resource to learn about hammocks.

Welcome from the other side of the pond in Ontario , Canada! Just make sure your bug net is midge proof!

P.S. I do like my DD Frontline, though mine is personally untested for midges I would assume (and ya know what they say about those who assume ) they are since what with being made in Scotland.
