What/Where to buy?

Hi everyone,

My name is Jon. I am new to this site, and hammocking, and I'm looking for a little help. I'm looking for some good quality descending rings for a decent price. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to buy and where to buy them? Any help would be appreciated.

go to REI or a good outfitter otherwise. SMC is the standard, and price isn't the issue when you're hanging from one.

A bit of Google fu shows SMC rings from $2.75 - $5 ea depending on the source. You can definitely do better than REI @ $4.50. If you have them pairs of biners also work.

When searching do not get sidetracked by the moron who has a lot of complaints posted. He is using them in a way they are not intended or built for then whining about it to every place he can find.
