The stock system is great except for the weight and bulk. I really like the dynaglide whoppie slings on my blackbird. Also replaced the stock ridge line with dynaglide and put smaller shock cord on the tieouts. I have the 1.7 sl and wish I had the 1.1 sl. I use to think another ounce or two didn't make any difference. But when I began to cut an ounce or more on most of my gear, pretty soon I was carring several pounds less of weight. My 63 year old body appreciated it.

He now offers them on his site as an accessory as well. Patent pending, I would not change my design either. It works, maybe not the lightest, but it works very well. That being said, I do use whoopies on all my hammocks, some amsteel, some dynaglide, depending on the intended use...Bush

I am in the same boat as some of the others. My first hammock was a hennessy and the whoopies were a great improvment over the stock suspension. I recently bought a second hand WBBB with straps and I love them!!! They are not as light but fast, I say superfast. If you have to move your suspension up or down with whoopies it is hard to keep everything together, with the strap suspension unclip move up reclip done.

I think the question remains... why aren't whoopies offered as one of the options (in the shopping cart)? Vendors need to move with the times. If it is general knowledge that customers want to have a particular feature, the feature is proven and legitimate, and the effort to provide it is trivial, why not make the customer happy?
