DIY Reinforcement on the XLC Zipper

We did have a couple pin/box failures so we ended up switching from a #3 to a #4.5 zipper. The 4.5 is slightly heavier but also has a much beefier metal pin/box rather than the plastic pin/box on the #3. If you have one of the earlier versions with a #3 (plastic pin/box) just be careful engaging/disengaging the pin/box when when removing or installing a cover), it's under warranty if it breaks, we've only had issues with a couple of them breaking but it can happen.

Thanks Warbonnetguy, it appears the reinforcement is holding up well after 7 nights on a recent bike tour (GOBA). I was the only hanger out of several thousand ground dwellers. I had a number of folks try the XLC so it really got a good shake down.
