Thanks to everyone for making my first group hang so much fun and to those who did so much organizing and getting everything going. I would like to give a special thanks to all the young men who made my daughter feel so welcomed and part of the group. I was nervous that she would feel uncomfortable being the only young girl there, but the boys were all gentlemen and truly nice people who made her part of the group when they could have just as easily excluded her.
I had a great time. It is so nice to see all of the friendly faces Meet new people and to hear the great stories. Perfect gear test on friday, and I passed with flying colors.

Hey guys I am still working on the video and pics so I'll post it up when done. In the mean time, some things were left over that I have that need to find their home. I have Joann's small blue pot, a bag with a lantern, two Coleman fuel canisters and a Coleman stove. A flip over grill that you would hold hamburgers over a fire with. Lastly I have a bluish tablecloth hammock that was lent out to Raos. Please let me know what is yours and how to get it to you. Thanks.

I would like to thank you all for the great time and warm welcome.
Nighthauk thank you for all the work you did before and especially for the extremely amazing food. Your cake made it into my new avatar picture!
Thank you!
This was my first time coming to NEHHA. Leaving my house at 5:30 Friday night in the pouring rain and heavy traffic across I-84, I was pondering why I was busting my butt to get up there only to set up in darkness, in the rain, and camp all night in the remnants of a tropical storm. My enthusiasm to get up there made it a no brainer though and I was happy that I made the right decision - as I turned onto the gravel road toward the hang, the rain suddenly slowed to a drizzle so that I could take my time finding a great spot to pitch my tarp.
I thoroughly enjoyed the hang - everybody was extremely nice and there was never a lack of conversation at the fire pit. It was really a blast and was great to meet so many of the members (though I am horrible with names). I learned a couple of cool knots that I have since practiced and mastered (bowline and sheet bend) and just enjoyed the camaraderie and beautiful setting.
A special thanks to Tim and all the others that put in huge work schlepping, setting tarps, kitchen, cooking, raffle organization and then the reverse at the end. Hopefully I can help out more the next time as I learn the ropes (pun intended).
Looking forward to September!

Thanks Nighthauk and lilprincess. This was my first “group hang” and I had a blast. Got to meet lots of great folks, eats lots of yummy food, and check out some hammock and gear options. I even got the opportunity to test out my skills in setting up in the rain. All was well, cozy and dry. Unfortunately I already have a commitment for the September hang dates but will be at the one in January for sure. I’m from Maine and I love the winter.
