Official Spring NEHHA Hang Trip Report

Well what a great weekend that we had. It started off in the rain on Friday morning and rained until early Saturday morning. After that it was warm weather and beautiful blue skies. A total of 37 members came to the hang with some coming pretty far away. We had the Jerzybears, Bughunter, and Crash coming in from Jersey. We had GreyEagle coming from Maine. To beat everyone else out we had Columbus coming in from Germany while he was doing some work training in Enfield CT. Ands many others. While I don't have much else to add just yet cause I just got home, everyone can start putting their reports here.

Thank you to all that helped to make this a well attended, successful and very memorable hang for me. I truly enjoyed getting to know everyone better and having a great time. I look forward to hearing everyone else's take on this trip. As soon as I have my stuff edited and put together I will post up my stuff.

The NEHHA was a great hang out. The storm didn't stop us. Nighthauk did a lot of work. It was nice seeing fellow MAHHA'ers there and meeting new friends. It was better than I expected! The nonstop campfire warmed my body and soul.
Thanks to Nighthauk and everyone who made it a nice place to crash.

Have arrived home and will post pics as soon as I sort the gear. But, in the mean time, I would like to give a big,"THANK YOU" to Tim, Mel and sons for once again pulling together a most wonderful HANG! The location, food, accommodations and people proved to be an unforgettable experience. Tim, you are a wonderful host and your wife is a saint for putting up with us!

On another note, a "warm" welcome to IPooh and the many many post yet to come on the subject of Waste Management. And let us not forget the "ICan" that was envisioned , designed and fabricated by Wild Bill Cody, who selfishly dangled his little brother by the ankles over the Great Black Abyss of Death in order to retrieve the Magic Jewel, thus saving mankind from certain and utter catastrophe.

ADVERTISEMENT: Remember...... The ICan, when no ordinary Waste Management Tool will do!

The camping hammock lends luxurious comfort and solitude to that which would otherwise be a vulgar frolic in the dirt.

Official Spring NEHHA Hang Trip Report

What a weekend. Filled with good food and great friends. The rain did little to stop the festivities. Kody got a trail name, rain gutter, thanks Vito . He stood under the group tarp waiting for it to burp gallons of water on him. Soaked and laughing the entire time. Kameren did his brotherly love part by pointing out to Nighthauk where the water was collecting so he could lift the tarp and spill more water on Kody. Yup that's the kind of weekend it was. Thank you to all who took my boys in and treated them like family. They will never forget this trip.
Coffee bean and I asked the boys what part was their favorite. We got an all of it answer. I can only agree. It's so hard, if not impossible to pick a single moment or time of laughter that was better than the next.

Thanks to Nighthauk and the Scouts for allowing us to use their camp and equipment.

I can't wait for others to chime in, so I will leave a few parting words and sayings that will keep a smile on my face for years to come.

Kameren didn't want any part of me lowering him by his feet into the hole, even for a dollar. Lol.

Ok, quick post, will post more later, with pictures. Thanks Nighthauk for organizing this. Place looks exactly the same, without the snow .
We had a great time! Got to meet some new folks, and saw more than a few familiar faces. We both had a great time. The weather was perfect, even WITH the rain. Nicky took over 800 pictures-mostly of nature shots, but some pretty cool ones of the hammocks that I will post up later.
We have been looking forward to this since January as well. We seem to grow exponentially each meet, and thats awesome. The kids all seemed to have a great time too-even with the rain. Well behaved, and always smiling. Good things to see.
Last thing I want to post up for the night. We raised $250 for the One Fund Boston for the raffle, which I will donate directly to them, as was originally Skypainter's idea. Thanks again for to everyone who donated stuff to the raffle.
Ok, I need to go out into the yard and get our gear, now that its dried out
