    2 color tablecloth Hammock???

Has anyone sewn 2 colors together with the taffeta from Tablecloth factory to make one like the Eno's??? I'm thinking of doing 8 inch strips on both sides to break up the solid look. Obviously there is no advantage besides aesthetics but we all like to look good right?

I have to do the same thing so my sister can easily tell the difference between her and her husband's hammock. They both wanted the same color.

You can order the tablecloth runners for the edging to save a few bucks.

If you are sewing anyway, might as well do the knotty mod.

I never thought about doing that!!! Great idea. Now I wish I had done something different for one of the hammocks I'm about to make. Oh, well, next time.

I know the tablecloth taffeta doesn't seem as stretchy to me as ripstop.

Won't the seam where the colors join stretch less than the body fabric? Will that make it uncomfortable?

    Just a thought...

Would you mind posting a link to that Knotty mod?

It works on the eno's??? I'm guessing it'll be the same.

Might think about using a zig-zag stitch. Experiment a little before sewing the whole length of fabric...

Then again, the taffeta doesn't seem to stretch that much anyway...

    Just thinking out loud...

I have one of the pawley's island parachute hammocks in a multi-color setup. I can feel the seams where the panels meet as it's been mentioned, they don't stretch the same. It feels almost like a ridge when I'm laying out. It's not terribly uncomfortable but I'd be happier if it wasn't there.

I just bought a pair of tablecloths but I'll just be making a pair of monochrome versions for my kids (dad gets to borrow them though).
