Think I picked it up fast enough?

I'm glad I didn't buy any pre made amsteel products.

I just made two continuous loops and two UCR lines.

Took me maybe 3 hours. Measure twice cut once!

I'm pleased with them! Gonna be wayyyyyy better with the loops than my paracord I have been using.

Nice job! Warning - it's addictive - I now have a dedicated "splicing" box and all sorts of colors and lengths of amsteel and dynaglide hanging around.

Don't say that or my wife won't let me start splicing! She finds my addiction with reloading strange, but it's so soothing.

I enjoy splicing while I am watching the smoker. Do a continuous loop ... check the temps ... repeat.

What's funny, is that it blows my mind...

I'm so used to knotting, splicing, just, confuses the heck outta me.
I have to sit there and look at the locked brummel in total....non-believingness.....

like, "how is this supposed to work!?" I've never dealt with hollow core....

Think "Chinese finger trap". Once I got my head around that, the rest made sense...

    That part I get....
It's the passing through the braid... And somehow it stays together.
