Minimum diameter and wall thickness of aluminum arrow needed for toggles!?

I'm an avid traditional archer and have arrows and cut materials that were formerly arrows galore. After seeing the slick corded toggles Shug has featured in his suspension video I wanted to make a bunch for myself. When I'm cutting arrows down to tune them usually the bits are discarded.

Just curious what size arrows Grizz uses for his, if anyone knows. Arrows are marked #### representing diameter in 64ths and next the wall thickness as a double digit decimal, for those curious about the system Easton uses.

I picked up an Easton 2216 from ****'s and has worked fine for me.

I use carbon cutoffs for mine. Any size will do the trick. The toggle completes the marlin spike hitch (or knot), the load is on the knot, not the toggle, as Shug would tell ya...Bush

I have used some pretty flimsy sticks before and they worked fine.

I probably have 200 carbon express heritage cut offs in the shop. Cool!

Sorry I'm late to this party. I'm not an archer, but a long time ago I went to the Wal-marts and purchased an aluminum "youth arrow". Definitely aluminum. No problems with these... they don't feel very sturdy but no issues with the MSH.
