I want to add a ridgeline to my hammock and most of the videos I find are for the sewn channel. When using the "w" fold on a gathered end hammock am I just putting a larks head knot on each end of the hammock? I will most likely just buy the ridgeline from whoopie slings so I just have to put it on. I can't find any definitive answers on this one and can't tell by looking at others in pictures. The ridgeline stays on so would the suspension then go under that? Thanks
If you use an adjustable ridgeline, I think having it inside the "w" fold would prevent it from being adjusted. I just ran the whoopie slings through the loops on the ends of the ridgeline. The ridgeline sits at the base of the whoopie sling.
Inside the w? Maybe I didn't explain myself. I meant just around the gathered end where my knot is, and on each end. Running it through the loops at the end would make the larks head correct?
Sorry, I read your first post incorrectly. You are correct. That would work fine as far as I can tell.
