    e-z biner? will it work

I had a small section of amsteel left after making my whoopies and srl and a couple of soft biners. I was tinkering with it, just messing around. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Anybody? I hope that worked. Basically tied a square knot in the two tag ends and larks head around it.

It will work, but it will be hard to undo imo, especially after it's been loaded.

    e-z biner? will it work

I think it'll be a little tough to undo if it holds up a decent size load. For abou tThe same length of amsteel, I try to make the soft shackle. http://l-36.com/soft_shackle_9.php

+1, same concept as a soft shackle/nacrabiner, but harder to use once loaded.

Here's a quick how to. They're really easy to make, and once you do a lanyard knot a few times it's cake.

Yeah I had just built 2 soft shackles before I played with this. I didn't load it. I might try this evening and see what happens.

I slung my hammock when I got home held up by the ez biner. It came right undone without any fuss. I was surprised, but it worked fine. I will try it agaim on a more extended hang.

Nice work try & get it wet with a load as well. If it comes loose after that I would say you are good to go.
