My 1st Fathers Day with my 1 day shy of 4 week old daughter was a special one. My wife and I took her on a short hike along Gold Branch Trail in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area near Roswell, Georgia. The trail opens up to Bull Sluice Lake on the northern end, created by the Morgan Falls dam just south of the park. The rather worn and rooted trail follows the murky water’s edge heading south towards the much less murky Chattahoochee River. We took a lunch break at a nice point overlooking the water with a nice breeze cooling us off. I think we are all looking forward to the next day hike. We will be doing an overnight hang in a few weeks with her. I am not sure yet, Maybe around Fontana or perhaps Red Top Mountain. We'll see.
