    East Texas Through Hikes?

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and to hanging. This is my first post so hopefully it goes well.
I'm trying to plan a trip to do a 2-3 day through hike with primitive camping but obviously hammock friendly. My brothers and myself would like to stay away from anywhere that may have a lot of people. I've been doing some research and I have looked at Sabine National Forest - Trail Between the Lakes, 4C Hiking Trail and even Big Thicket National Preserve. I'm looking toward east Texas because of the larger forested areas, etc. I was even looking at part of the Lone Star Trail but from what I've read it looks very popular and potentially busy, but I could be wrong. All of my ideas could be bad choices and not hammock friendly so I was hoping to get some input from fellow hangers. Thanks.

I have been on the Four C's trail. It's ok but the northern part is probably the more scenic section. If I remember right, the trail is only 20 miles long and parts run along the Neches River. During hunting season the rules say that campers have to stay in the hunting camps. So, if you are not about breaking rules, it might be better to go in between the seasons.

The Trail between the Lakes is a trail that I would like to hike. It's just a matter of getting the time off. I don't know how well the trail is taken care of but I been on parts of it geocaching and it looked fine. In fact, I would like to rally some troops together and hike this one sometime this year.

LSHT not as crowded as one might think. We've done several hike n' hangs and didn't come across very many folk at all.

We've got a group hang planned for next month in the Four Notch Section:

Thanks. I'll see if I can make it to the hang in July.
