Super easy cheap and light hammock stand

I saw something similar to this on you tube and had to try it. Not my idea but when I went back on you tube to try and find the vid to give the credit I couldn't find it.
It uses 2 poplar poles, to coated wire cable dog chain runs 20' each, 2x 1/4"x 4-1/2" bolts, 2x cable clamps, and four 3'x5/8" pieces of all thread with nuts and washers used as stakes. I have some other stakes for different kinds of ground but I have slept on this 10+ times and it hasn't sagged or dropped me on the ground.
Would also work great in a situation where you only have one tree

Good job! How long are the poplar poles?
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

8' and the bolts are drilled through at 7' but I think I'm going to put a set of holes through at 6 or 6'6" so I can keep the poles a little closer.
Hers my girl laying it in the hammock I made her. I'll turn her into a hanger yet

Thats almost exactly what I did but I used a couple of top rails for a chain link fence that I salvaged and just used rope for the line running between. The poles fit together in the middle so I can break them down easily. Also, theyre hollow so I can jam them in the ground a little. The only problem I have with my setup is that the poles pull together slightly when I get in the hammock which, if I hang my tarp on them, causes the tarp to sag a little. How do you stake the support guylines to the ground? Using stake booms?

Ill see if I can find a pic of my setup. Im only using one pole right now and the other end goes to a large 6x6 fence post.

The cables I bought were sold as cables for a dog run and came with a cable eye support crimped into each end. The soil in my backyard is rather soft and I've got 3' of 5/8" all thread with nuts and washers on top pounded all the way in through the loops in the cable ends. To minimize sagging when I get in I tied a piece of 550 cord from pole to pole right where the hammock suspension would sit and cinched it down as hard as I could with a truckers hitch. Seems to work well.

Here's the 550 cord with truckers hitch that runs over to the same spot on the other pole. It's darn near guitar string tight.
