Check out the manufacturers and services subforum, any of the vendors who sell topquilts will provide you with great quality, some do custom work, I.e using 10d fabrics, custom lengths width, cuben baffles etc.
Hammock gear are running an intro deal on "argon" fabric upgrades ($10 for a full argon shell) that should save 3+ ounces check out this thread for more info https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=74907
I'd check the average night time temps where you're going before I jumped into a 45* quilt.
I'm a cold sleeper, and, at 45*, I'm still in the 0*.
Leaving a colder temp quilt a bit loose works for me to deal with warmer temps.
Love is blind. Marriage is an eye opener.
I appreciate everyones input. 45 may not be warm enough for this trip. I can make up the weight with Argon and move to a warmer quilt.
Thanks again!

I've been in central Maine, ~80 miles south of the Monson AT crossing, on July 4th weekend and the temp hit a low of 29F and we had flurries. No dang fun as I was there to kayak and ended up sleeping in the car. That was a rare event, but not unheard of for the area.
The Maineiacs were still wearing short sleeve shirts.
I have an EnLightened 30* and its awesome
That is exactly where I will be hiking 80 miles S of Monson. WOW 29'.... i hope it's nothing like that. I purchased Hammock Gear's Burrow 40' Argon Quilt. Excited!
Enjoy the trip, I hope to get up there myself later this summer.
If you get into Caratunk, Moxie Pond or Monson or the general area, consider doing a day trip white water rafting on the upper kennebec river, the local rafting companies will ferry you up and back to their office/basecamp/tenting sites, feed you after the rafting, set you up with a tent site, and generally make it worth the zero mile day.
PM me if you want more info.
Wow, great choice and that is one UL TQ. Very jealous, Report back on its performance for us will you? You'll have one of the first ones.
