DL hammock - thicker material, inside or out?

In a double layer hammock, where does the thicker layer go? On the inside or outside?

I can see the thinner on the inside to provide a softer surface to lay on but then again if it's coming up against a thicker outer layer (which it must if it adds to the load bearing capacity of the hammock,) is it still softer?

I would think that the thinner layer would go on the outside to make the hammock the color you want, thwart mozzies, and hold a pad up against the inner layer.

Looking at Dream Hammocks, it looks like you can order any material in either layer. In the WBBB 1.9/1.1, it's not clear to me which layer is where.

What are the considerations to keep in mind when ordering or making a DL hammock?

Since the outer is there to help hold the pad, thinner to the outside.
Heavier fabric is to support you. so that would be the inner.
At least that's what I'd do.

I tend to follow your first where the thinner is on the inside against me since I feel it to be the softer and nicer feeling material.
