Kinda neat, though I'm not so fond of sitting on the ground while camping.

I'll give him credit for thinking 'outside the box' for sure. Not anything I've seen before, for sure.
But, it doesn't look comfortable, nor does it look like something you can 'get up out of' easily/quickly if you wanted to.
And I agree with other comments...I do NOT sit my butt down on the jungle floor when in the jungle...PERIOD. Too many things find it to be a tasty meal.
Even in the woods here in the US, I just don't like sitting straight on the ground.
So...kudos for a different idea, but not one that would work for me.
I made something similar to the chair at 4:08... without the bamboo spreader. Its all cloth and rope, and wads up about as big as a tennis ball. Used it once, but I need some smaller , lighter rope.
Looks neat.
We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.
Here is another one, I ordered one, I think it would make a good gear hammock as well. Seems like a nice multitasker.
