I went to an REI used gear sale a few months ago and grabbed an ENO DoubleNest for $15 as I had been curious about hammock camping. I read The Ultimate Hang, which led me to Derek's site, which led me here. You all led me to getting additional hammocks and nets and tarps. Last month I went to the REI used gear sale and picked up a Hennessy Explorer Deluxe for $65, added some snake skins and swapped the suspension out for whoopie slings (once done to the Hennessy I did it on the Roo and the Eno as well).
Next step is to build a warm weather underquilt (poncho liner, naturally). I have built a 2x4 hammock stand from the forums instructions. I have been enjoying all of the information here and have been meaning to say hello and thank you to the group for the wealth of information. i have not posted to the forums yet because every question I have had, both big and small, I have found the answer already here.
