Greetings from CT Yankee living in piedmont VA

Greetings all; 60 year-old grandpa here.

I'm a long-time cyclist and former backpacker (way back when beads, bell bottoms and backpacking made a statement.).

I'm a recent convert to recumbent trikes with plans for riding and hammock-camping to visit my scattered brood of 5 kids and 10 grandkids.

Have been chuckling my way through Hammock 101 with Shug. Bought an ENO DoubleNest on Friday 21JUN13 and have slept soundly in it (backyard trials) for the last 5 nights; wife's beginning to worry and complains of getting cold and lonely at night in the king-size bed we've shared for 40 years.

I'm a little worried, too, because I've just ordered a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC (I'm 6'5" & 240 lbs): is this the start of an addiction? If so, glad it's a benign one & with two hammocks, perhaps the wife will "hang" with me.

Having fun on the Forum and appreciate all the friendly "faces" and info.

    Best regards,

    pkr

Welcome to the forums and yes, it's an addiction! Your hooked!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
