    Indoor hanging question

So if one were considering replacing their mattress with a hammock... and assuming ones landlord would not find drilling hills into the wall an acceptable action... that would leave ones only recourse to be a stand... am I right?

So my skills at building are limited... (and my available power tools)... I could probably feel confident in building something... I sleep in the living room so I'd want something that isn't too hideous and/or space consuming... I usually sleep alone... but sometimes my youngest likes to cuddle while watching movies so the combined weight would be <340 (ish... I'm losing he's gaining)

Also I currently sleep in an eno dn when I go out... I think I'd like to have a different home hammock (simply because I like to keep camping gear in the car so I'm ready for anything... but for any other reason) I'm not sure what the best set up would be... my decorating scheme could be considered eclectic so I'm not really too concerned about it fitting in... I'm more concerned about how hoops my back feels when I hang... and how horrible it feels in my bed

A pipe stand doesn't take up a lot of space:

You might want to try your hand at a tablecloth hammock (I'm sure you could find a color to perfectly match your decor!)

Therre are some decent ready made stands people use indoors. Vario is one I've seen. I use one made by Vivere IIRC. Ikea sells one as well if you have one close to you.

The forums are kinda hard to search from my phone... when I get to a real computer (probably next week) I'll try to look

I've been reading a lot about the Turtledog DIY stand in the forums you should check it out. I'd post a link but I don't know how.

Jenn, I'll make you a stand for cost of parts. Heck I have one now you can try out if you want to. I can't use all of them at once.

I also have several of those tablecloth blanks and can throw together one for you.

    Where are you?

That would be utterly awesome... I'm not quite so handy... I'd love to try but I'm spatially challenged and seeing it in person would help me to know if I'd like it (I'm not so good at seeing a plan for something then seeing it in my space... I'm much better at pudding my hands on something then seeing it in my space... if that makes sense)
