I know this really has almost nothing to do with hammocking in general and probably belongs on White Blaze, but I have a hard enough time keeping up with one forum, thank you. Anyway, a co-worker of mine who is an avid backpacker and hiker, who I hope to convert to hammocking by bringing to the SEHHA April Hangout, and I were discussing his lack of a trail name. He said before the night was out, he's have one. We both brainstormed the idea for most of the night without success. Then around 5am as we were sitting at the nurse's station waiting for our shift to end at 7am, my co-worker, a respiratory therapist, was asked by another nurse to take one of her patients off the ventilator. Her patient has a tracheostomy, and would be getting 02 via a "trach collar". My co-worker, who was slightly frustrated because all the patient wanted all night was to go on trach collar, thew his hands up and said, "Trach collar, trach collar, that's all she's wanted all night!". And, hence, a trail name was born: Trach Collar. The end!
