Looking for input on your favorite places to hang in the smokies. My fiancé and I are taking our honeymoon in that direction and SHE suggested a hammock camp trip in the Smokies! Awesome right?!? Her idea!
It'll be her first overnight hang, so I want her to enjoy it as much as she can. Would love to hear everyone's suggestions, thanks!

My wife and I hiked the "West Prong" trail to backcountry campsite 18 I believe. It was like 2.5 miles from the trail head to the campsite. At the campsite it opens up with 3 or 4 different areas to camp and there is a bear bag cable provided. The west prong of the Little river flows right by the campsite. This area is absolutley beautiful.

For Easy hiking, minimal what I call "Big views" (You see mostly creek): Park at Elkmont & hike the Little River Trail to campsite (MUST be reserved) #24, about 9 or so miles of mostly level(ish) well graded semi abandoned road. Camp #24 is on the Little river, so great sleeping noise & fishing & water source.
Alternate, using the Little River: 200' up Jake's creek trail, Left on Cucumber Gap trail (Moderate climb, one "Big View", water at the summit, I saw a bear foot print up there.) for 2.4 (bypassing the same amount of the LRT) Cucumber terminates at LRT, Go left & etc.
To camp in an old orchard: Jakes creek to campsite #27, a bit more challenging than the LRT version, but less than 3 miles. Water, minimal big views (actually I don't remember any) I really liked camp 27 when there 20 years ago, but that WAS 20 years ago.
IF you want to do a 3 night: LRT (version 1 or 2) toGoshen Prong trail: night 1 at 24, night 2 at 23, night 3 at 24 again OR head on back. I usually just head up to camp 23 for night one, then up to the AT (Go right, to Miry ridge trail & night 2 at #26 (been a LONG time, don't remember if can hang there, sorry) or #27 Then home from there. The climb to the AT & the descent from can be,,,,, challenging, & I suspect the miles aren't exact. But it has a LOT of BIG views on the AT.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.

Thanks a ton for the recommendations Doctari, I'll take a gander at the map and see where these all are. We aren't looking for anything super strenuous, this is her first full night in a hammock so I want it to be an enjoyable one for her. Would love beautiful views (even though being surrounded by forest is indeed beautiful)
Anything in mind for decent hikes, slight elevation gains, good sights to see around 5-10 miles round trip?
