Any fishing planned? Bosses offered to lend me a pole if so.

Fishing and hammocking are both the reasons for the trip. Neither more important than the other...
You should definitely borrow a pole.
Kyle,
Please check your PM's.
I got back to you, Ed.
I'll ask them for that pole, then. I don't have the first clue how to fish, but I s'pose I'll figure it out like everything else, haha. I don't think it's much in the way of ultralight, either, but that's fine. Where do I even go for a fishing license? Are we planning on catching dinner and, if so, what should I bring for preparing it? Foil, olive oil, lemon, salt/pepper?
Exciting for me, I'm sure I'll learn a ton this trip. A preemptive apology for the potential barrage of questions, haha.
I'm afraid the cooking of fish will have to be done on the stovetop in a pan so, oil and spices would be good. This is due to the total fire ban in effect.
Any proven techniques, other than the obvious, used for cooking trout in the wilderness?
Also, every time I PLAN on having fish for dinner, I couldn't get one with dynamite. I now utilize plan "B", and hope for a fish. Just a thought.
Anxiously awaiting for this trip to begin.
You can get a fishing license from WM. If you have a choice, use a spincaster fishing rig. Here's a simple fishing set up that I find useful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq5tDmw8Lc4
“I held a moment in my hand, brilliant as a star, fragile as a flower, a tiny sliver of one hour. I dropped it carelessly, Ah! I didn't know, I held opportunity.” -Hazel Lee
I pan fried some trout the other day that were delicious. First I gutted, scaled, and removed the head. Then I coated them in flower, garlic & herb blend, salt & pepper. I fried them in butter for approximately 7 minutes per side. Not too shabby. I'll these ingredients on the Lily Lake trip. But I'll more than likely substitue olive oil for the butter, and bring along a whole lemon for extra seasoning.
Ed, I'm ordering a new tarp, but I don't think it will be here in time for the trip. Do you think I could borrow one of yours again?
The trick with trout is to use an old tooth brush to scrub out the blood sack at the back of the spine, this gets rid of most of the bitter and fishy taste, You could also bake them in a dutch oven. Cooking is a passion of mine.
Whatever you may need my friend. Just let me know. I will bring it when we get together week after next.
