I just got a new tarp. From reading all the wonderful post about cubin I bought a HG winter palace. I have my ridgeline figuired out but I have not read to much about length of corners and pull outs. What length do you use in general.

2-4 foot is ok unless you are going to want to set up in porch mode. Then I go with 6-8 foot. How you set up to tension will come into play some too. If you going to use a taught line or truckers hitch then you will need some length to work wit so keep that in mind.

thanks for the help P
I vary the lengths. Usually a 4' set on one side, and a pair of 8's on the other.
All larksheaded to the tie outs on the Toxaway tarp, so you can switch them around with ease if need be.
I usually carry a few lengths of shock cord too, in case I'm anchoring to tree limbs in porch mode. Makes things more forgiving when I walk into them later.

thanks rolloff. what diameter do you use?
I've been using 6' of 1.75mm Lash It, prusik looped to the tie outs, I got from Dutch along with Stingerz for my ridgeline tie outs. My original plan was to use 2.2mm and knots
