Welcome from just down the 210! If I had it my way I would have my backpack hanging up, but as it is, I keep it isolated at the bottom of the closet where it doesn't get smashed or stepped on or in the way. It gets enough wear on the trail, doesn't need to get it at home, too
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.

Welcome from Fla! Bottom of the closet or hanging in the workshop.

Rez might mean where do you store your backpack when you're camping. In that case, some folks hook it on the suspension at one end of the hammock, some folks lay it on a groundcloth under the hammock, and some folks hang it on one of the trees they hang from (but it's not protected from rain there, of course.) I've read of some folks who even put it in their hammock with them and use it as a pillow or extra insulation for their feet.

    Have fun and report back!

P.S. I forgot: Some people hang a gear hammock (a mini light-weight hammock) under their own hammock (bunk-bed style) and put their backpack in that. Keeps it dry and off the ground!
