Hello from Clemmons, NC

Hello,

I'm new to the world of "hanging" as I now find out it's called. I am from Clemmons, NC, and I am a college student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) in Winston-Salem, and there are a few hangers there. I study theatrical lighting design and technology. My real interest though is concert lighting. I plan to be a concert lighting designer one day.

As far as why I am joining, we bought my dad a hammock a while ago (brand/model unknown, sorry!), and I thought it was a cool hobby, and then seeing it at school made me want to get a hammock too. I didn't really consult this forum for buying advice, but I read a few reviews online. When the Yukon Outfitters Double Parachute Hammock went on sale on Woot! I had to jump on it. I just got it in the mail today and I have no idea how to hang it temporarily between two trees, so I hope to browse and learn some more about that. Wish me luck!

being interested is good enough on this site. If you can make it check out our group hang in november. Its in the uwharries at yates place. Lots of good food, friends and of course hammocking knowledge. Either way happy trails.
