I so wish you had not posted this, as now I have something new to want to do. I know that there were certainly the sweaty, grungy moments, but you make this trek seem a perfect dream, one I would love the opportunity to experience.
If ever I get a chance, I will for sure take it.

The coastal section of the walk was my favourite. It was a nice mix of walking through coastal dunes, beach walking and scrambling over rocky headlands. In my opinion the rough coastal country is at its best in stormy weather. There's nothing more exhilarating walking with a strong wind and rain at your back and huge waves breaking on the shore.

Epic! Travelling with a hammock in Oceania seems to be an exercise in explaining to the people you meet, "No, I don't get cold, no I don't really want to sleep in a bunk!" I just think of them as all potential converts

Amazing adventure! Love the pics with lots of weather overhead and the coastal section would've blown me away....I can hear the wind and waves now. I loved hearing about your gear and updates on how everything faired during the trek. I've contemplated a Spot, but never took the leap. Now I'm convinced I'd most likely look for an alternative. Thank you for sharing your experience!
