It's been a while since I have been there, but yes, Ashland is right.
so maybe it won't be too far for Mr. Owl?

Sorry about the confusion. This was the first trail I ever attempted. Haven't been back since, even though I have wanted to.
Are we any closer to picking a date and location? I would enjoy meeting some new folks an I really need to get into the woods. At some point we just need to make the call and know that we'll have a good time no matter what!

I called a friend that works in the alpine shop in columbia.
He said our best bet would be cedar creek, they allow camping and it is a 36 mile loop.
He claimed that its a 5 star trail rated one of the best in mid missouri.
Might give you a place to think about.
Wha??? KC Area hangs? I relocated back in April and I've not heard of such a thing. I wouldn't mind observing and learning!

Kingsville, MO? Woah, that's close. I live in Lone Jack. Maybe we should do our own Johnson County, MO hang. I have a Hennessy and a DD Hammock that I can bring. I sure would like to check out a WBBB.
I agree that it's time to pick a date and get this scheduled. The closer we get, the hard it is to schedule. I vote for late October/early November.
